HOTEL POLICIES

Cancellation Policy
For most reservations, our Standard Policy permits cancellations without penalty until 7 days prior to 3:00 pm of the scheduled arrival day. Cancellations that occur after that time will be charged one night's room and tax. Please note, however, that there may be stricter cancellation rules for special rates and special events. Please refer to your reservation details or call the hotel with any cancellation-related questions.

Attempting to modify a reservation within the 7 day cancellation period will be considered a cancellation and re-booking. 

Deposit Policy
All reservations must be guaranteed by prepayment of a deposit. Reservations will be held until 2:00 am the day after arrival. A deposit equal to one night's stay will be charged at the time of reservation. 

Pet Policy
No pets are permitted on the property. Only service animals are defined under the Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA) are permitted and must be under the handler's control at all times. Emotional support, therapy, comfort, or companion animals are not considered service animals under the ADA, and we do not allow these on-premises. 

Guests violating this policy will be charged a minimum $250 cleaning fee and asked to leave the property. Our team follows the ADA guidelines described in the ADA 2010 Revised Requirements: Service Animals.

What time is check-in and check-out?
Check-in starts at 3 pm and checkout is at 11 am.

Are you an adults-only hotel?
Yes. Due to the historically significant nature of the property and to provide our guests a relaxing environment, we are an adults-only facility. We ask that all guests be 16 years of age or older.

What is included with the amenity fee?
Our amenity fee is $35 per night and includes:

  • Valet parking
  • Property history tours (3x/week)
  • Outdoor movies (weather permitting)
  • Daily European Continental breakfast
  • Wi-Fi
  • Heated pool access
  • Turndown service upon request
  • Bicycles
  • Lawn games
  • Access to online magazines & newspapers

  • Still and sparkling filtered water available in The Lobby. Reusable, recyclable bottles are available from the front desk.

Is breakfast included?
Yes. We offer a daily European Continental breakfast served in the breakfast area of the “General Store” building. We rotate items seasonally, however, fresh baked goods, cheeses, hard-boiled eggs, fresh fruit, cereals, custom coffee roast, and juices remain fairly consistent. 

Do you offer parking?
Valet parking is included in the $35/night Amenity Fee.

Is there a restaurant or bar on-site?
The hotel does not have an on-site restaurant. However, the hotel does have a craft cocktail bar and lounge, The Well, which is open daily and serves light bar food bites, and a variety of beer, wine, and cocktails. Additionally, there are dozens of restaurants within walking distance for your enjoyment. 

Do you allow smoking on property?
We are a smoke-free property.

How many rooms are there?
We have 30 individually appointed rooms spanning nine historic buildings on our property.

Are the artifacts onsite authentic?
Yes. All artifacts, statues, and historic markers are authentic. Some artwork is original to the Dow Property. 

How close are you to downtown St. Augustine?
We are located at 149 Cordova Street. Some downtown attractions are across the street and various centers of attractions are a 2 minute walk from the property.
